what is knitting? book
rapid production of Carolyn Runcie’s RCA MA thesis book

I was commissioned by Carolyn Runcie, a textiles student at the RCA, to produce a book from her research on the cultures and social benefits associated with knitting and it's place as a craft in the modern world.
It was a delightful project to work on and very much in line with what I believe about participatory design, or that even giving people the skills and motivation to create things themselves, makes objects more personally valuable, sustainable and enjoyable, which certainly came through in all the amusing stories Carolyn had collected.
