designing the information provision at Heathrow T5

Engine Service Design were commissioned to design the information provision for arrivals passengers in Heathrow's new T5.

My contribution were these journey diagrams through T5, using different passenger personas, from business travellers to unaccompanied children and running them through different scenarios such as meeting up with a taxi driver or removing the potential for language problems. The image below is all the different journeys visible together, which is a really nice demonstration of the kinds of complexity service design deals with.

I can't believe how much work we did for BAA and I still didn't get to see T5 before it opened! For the full case study, visit it here.
