An inter-disciplinary design team within the Design Council

SteveNick&Alex was an inter-disciplinary design team set up as part of the Design Council's Technology campaign, which sought to use design to capitalise on the fruits of the UK's excellent R&D, transforming patents and IP into tangible businesses and products.

Through a 3-month stint, we worked on 8 technology startups all at different stages of development and requiring varied design services, from interface design, to developing new materials into products, to websites, branding and launching companies at public events.



The successes of the campaign were included in the Cox Review - a major government project commissioned by the then Chancellor Gordon Brown to assess the role and value of design in business and society.
