humanising the digital signature process

As part of the Technology Campaign at the Design Council, I was asked to humanise the digital signature for KeCrypt, who aspire to have their product become ‘the next chip and pin’. They have patented signature recognition software for measuring the way you sign on a pda or laptop that makes it uniquely yours and unforgeable.

however, KeCrypt explained that the alpha testing of their product during a trial to adopt the technology across the NHS for signing off drugs and diagnoses had revealed a number of problems and unexpected user behaviour.

What was required for the Beta testing, were solutions such as identifying errors, frustrations and their causes, interface changes and a tutorial to help get staff accustomed to using this new system.
