a very noir film which made it to the NFT

Kay was a film written and directed by Sam Burke and Ryan Barkataki. We all pitched in for free, and I was Director of Photography of a very noir film which eventually got its screening at the NFT (National Film theatre) on London's South Bank.

Completed during a time at University when I was keen to meet other creatives and broaden my skills outside of the design studio, it was a great opportunity and it's always rewarding to see something you've made on a big screen.

Besides utilising and developing my skills and technical knowledge, it's projects like these, run without a budget, which teach you the more fundamenally important skills of networking and getting people motivated to contribute.

I also got to work with the guy from a Wrigley's Extra ad, who argued his case as a D-list rather than E-list celebrity. I think he was joking.
